A free bingo caller for pubs, clubs and parties

Pub Bingo turns any phone, tablet or laptop into a bingo caller. Players don’t need an app or an account: they scan a QR code to join, and when they buy a ticket you show them a QR code that puts proper UK 90-ball tickets on their phone. For anyone without a phone, print numbered paper tickets. Every claim is checked against the numbers called, so there are no arguments about who called house first.

How to run a bingo night

  1. Start a bingo night. Tap “Start a bingo night” and give it a name. You get a recovery code: keep it safe, and you can bring the night back on any device.
  2. Make your poster. Edit the heading, date, time and ticket price, then print the poster with its QR code or put the code on the pub TV. Players scan it with their phone camera to join — no app, no sign-up.
  3. Hand out tickets. On the caller’s screen tap “Sell”, choose the game (or several games — handy for people arriving later) and how many tickets. The buyer scans the QR code on your screen and the tickets go straight to their phone, all under one ticket code; then a new QR code appears for the next person. Or switch on free play and everyone gets tickets automatically.
  4. Print paper tickets too. Not everyone wants to use a phone. Print numbered A4 sheets with a ticket for each of six games.
  5. Eyes down. Tap for each number, or let it call automatically every few seconds. Each number comes with its traditional call, and your phone (or the TV) can read it aloud.
  6. Check the winners. Claims from phones are checked instantly. For a paper ticket, type its sheet number and the caller’s screen tells you if it’s a winner.

Questions about Pub Bingo

Is Pub Bingo free?

Yes. The caller, the phone tickets, the paper tickets and the big-screen display are all free, with no sign-up and nothing to install.

What kind of bingo is it?

Classic British 90-ball bingo. Each ticket has three rows of nine squares with five numbers on each row, and the prizes are one line, two lines and a full house (house).

How do players get tickets?

They scan the join QR code and type their name. When they buy a ticket, the caller shows a QR code for that sale on their screen: the player scans it and the tickets appear on their phone. Each ticket is for one game. For a free game, the caller can give everyone tickets automatically.

Do tickets mark themselves?

The caller decides: numbers can mark themselves as they’re called, or players can tap each number on their ticket — the traditional way.

What if a player’s phone loses their ticket?

Every purchase comes with one ticket code, shown under the tickets, and players are asked to screenshot it. Typing the code on the Pub Bingo page takes them back to their game with all their tickets.

Can people buy tickets for a later game?

Yes. The caller can sell tickets for any upcoming game, or for several games at once, so someone arriving late can have their tickets ready.

What if the caller’s phone is lost or its browser is cleared?

Each bingo night has a recovery code. The night is backed up to the website while you call, so typing the code on any device brings it all back — settings, games and every ticket handed out. Backups are kept for a month after the night was last used, and deleted an hour after the caller finishes the night or deletes it.

Can people play without a phone?

Yes. Print paper tickets from the bingo night’s page: each A4 sheet has six tickets (one for each game) and a sheet number. When someone calls house, type the sheet number into the caller’s screen to check it.

Can I show the numbers on the pub TV?

Yes. Open the big-screen link in the TV’s web browser (or a laptop plugged into it). It shows the QR code, each number and its call, a board of every number called, and the winners.
